If you’re on the market for a new piece of fitness equipment, you’re probably looking at a treadmill. After all, treadmills are one of the most popular choices of workout equipment today.
They’re easily accessible through either your local fitness center or widely available for at-home use. Treadmill’s price range is anywhere from $200 up to $5000, but these prices vary based on where you purchase your treadmill (and if it’s new or used).
A treadmill is a fantastic investment for your health and wellness journey and can be utilized by beginner exercisers to marathon runners and everyone in between!
From being used as an outlet to run or walk if there due to inclement weather to help someone recover from an injury, it’s easy to see why treadmills are so popular!
Besides being a convenient way to exercise indoors, working out on a treadmill allows you to boost your cardiovascular endurance, improve your balance, coordination, and strengthen your legs and core. Not to mention improved mood and mental health – just to name a few benefits.
With all the different workouts you can do on a treadmill, the choices seem almost endless to know which treadmill to pick that’ll give you the most bang for your buck. And that’s why we will break down two different treadmills: the NordicTrack 1750 and the Echelon Stride. From there, you can decide if one of these would be perfect for your at-home gym!
NordicTrack Commercial 1750 Treadmill vs Echelon
With a $1,899 price, the NordicTrack 1750 treadmill includes an iFit membership with the treadmill’s purchase. The membership is good for up to 30 days before renewal is needed. The ability to stream live workouts and record training information are useful for everyone in your family.
iFit can be accessed at any time of the day – whether you workout early in the morning or late at night. These virtual workouts are viewed on a 10” high definition touchscreen, which is cooled by an internal processor that makes the graphics even better…and even more so, with a better connection to Wi-Fi. You’re also able to connect headphones through Bluetooth, allowing you to listen to music (or your virtual trainer) without anything disrupting you.
The NordicTrack 1750 has a weight limit of 300 pounds and boasts a 3.5 CHP motor. With an incline ranging up to 15% and a decline option down to 3%, your workouts are always adjustable to your needs and goals.
The treadmill belt will also give you a smoother ride, with a Runners Flex cushion that lets you choose if you want to run on a hard or soft surface. If you want a treadmill that can mimic running on the road, this is the machine you want!
Echelon Stride Treadmill vs Nordictrack 1750
This treadmill comes in with a $1,338.98 price tag and is one of the newer treadmills on the market right now. This particular brand produces high-quality rowing machines and bikes, and the quality on this treadmill is no less.
One of the top draws to this treadmill is the size; if you live in an apartment or have a smaller space for your home workout (but still want a treadmill), this one will fit perfectly!
Its compact design, paired with the ability to fold in half, makes it very appealing for those looking to save some space. If you’re looking to utilize the iFit membership available with this treadmill, you’ll have to add on the membership separately. Still, you’ll have the opportunity to have access to multiple workouts with virtual trainers around the world…so consider that part of your investment if you like a new view and some extra motivation when you’re working out.
With a weight limit of 300 pounds, this compact treadmill has a 1.75 HP motor and allows an incline up to 10%. You will need to have an iPad or similar technology to stream the iFit services because this treadmill doesn’t have a high definition screen. However, if you’re just aiming for a lightweight, portable treadmill without all the fancy bells and whistles to log your miles, this is the machine for you!
